Course Overview
The aim of the Master of Science (Strategic Studies) programme is to produce graduates with the ability to think systematically and strategically when understanding, analyzing and addressing international issues across various disciplines relating to strategy
Programme Structure
The programme is conducted for part-time mode. All students are required to complete 42 credits hour. There are usually THREE (3) intakes in a year: January, May and September.
Study Duration
Study Duration is 6 semesters / 2 years (minimum) until 15 semesters / 5 years (maximum). Lectures are conducted on weekends (Saturday & Sunday)

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission to Master of Science (Strategic Studies) can be granted based on the criteria specified below:
- A bachelor’s degree with Honours from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with a CGPA of at least 2.75, OR
- A bachelor’s degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with a CGPA of 2.00 to 2.74 and relevant WORK EXPERIENCE; OR
- A diploma from any institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with at least TEN (10) YEAR of relevant WORK EXPERIENCE, 35 YEARS or OLDER and passed APEL ASSESSMENT (LEVEL)7; OR
- Any other equivalent QUALIFICATIONS recognised by the University Senate; AND Fulfill the ENGLISH LANGUAGE requirement as set by the University Senate.
Students are required to complete 42 credits:
- Teras Program (Core Courses) – 20 credits
- Elektif Program (Elective Courses) – 16 credits
- Kertas Projek (Project Paper) – 6 credits

- Coursework (42 credits) – RM500/credit hour – Peninsular Malaysia & RM550/credit hours – Sabah & Sarawak
- Service Charge – RM150/semester
- Registration Fees – RM600 / pay only 1st semester
- Total Tuition Fees – RM 22,600 – Peninsular Malaysia & RM24,600 – Sabah & Sarawak

The completed ONLINE APPLICATION FORM must be submitted with the following documents:
- Proof of payment processing fee;
- Certified copies of Degree/equivalent qualifications, Malaysian University English Test (MUET)/ Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)/ International English Language Testing System (IELTS), professional certificates and full academics Transcripts;
- Employee Endorsement Letter;
- Letter of approval/official leave from employer/relevant authorities to pursue this programme;
- Two (2) copies of passport-sized coloured photographs for student application
- Two (2) letters of recommendation or testimonial proving applicant’s potential for success in the desired programme
